The ejector tube in fastener hardware accessories is mainly used to fix the workpiece to keep it stable and not easy to move. The ejector tube is usually made of materials such as metal, plastic or ceramic, and has a conical or spherical head to facilitate its insertion into the workpiece.
Specific role of the ejector tube
Fix the workpiece: The ejector tube fixes the workpiece to keep it stable on the machines and equipment in the automated production process to prevent movement. This is especially important in equipment such as bench clamps, fixtures, and jigs.
Separate the product: In plastic molds, the ejector tube is used to separate the product from the mold, which is one of the most commonly used functions.
Through hole function: Carbide ejectors (such as tungsten steel ejectors) can be used to pass longer and thinner holes.
Support the workpiece: On a lathe or grinder, the ejector tube is used to support the workpiece and rotate it around it, which is very important in machining.
Types and materials of ejector tubes
There are many types of ejector tubes, including straight ejectors, curved ejectors, elastic ejectors, etc. In terms of materials, common ones are SKH51, SKD61, SKD11, 65Mn, etc. Ejector tubes of different materials are suitable for different application scenarios. For example, the SKD61 ejector can withstand high temperatures, and the wear resistance can be improved after surface nitriding treatment.
